Wedding Flower FAQs

We believe that ordering flowers for your wedding doesn't need to be complicated. This is why we created an a-la-carte menu of wedding floral necessities that allows you to build your dream wedding within your budget! We've rounded up questions to the most common questions about our wedding flower services, however, if you need more help, feel free to email us at weddings@hhfshop.com

How do your wedding flower services work?

We make everything simple - all of our wedding flower options are available to be purchased directly from our website. Our wedding products are available for on-farm pickup only - we do not offer delivery or setup services. We also ask that you include the name and phone number of the person who will be picking up your order in your order notes, as well as the time they will be arriving to pick up. That’s it!

Will you have (insert your favorite type of flower here) available for my wedding date?

We work with Mother Nature, who can be a fickle lady sometimes! If you have a special flower that you would like us to include that will be in season for your date, we can do our best to include it, but we cannot guarantee any specific flower varieties.

What day should I pickup my flowers?

We strongly recommend picking up any designed flowers (bouquets, boutonnieres, corsages, arrangements, etc.) on the day of your wedding to keep them as fresh and happy as possible. If you’re doing any DIY with our bulk flowers or greenery, those can be picked up the day before to allow time for you to work your magic on them. However, if your schedule does not allow you to pick your flowers up on the day of the event, let us know and we can give you instructions on how to keep your flowers as happy as possible.

What do we need to bring for pickup? Will I need a certain vehicle?

This depends entirely on what you ordered! If your order is small - a few bouquets, boutonnieres, etc. - any vehicle will work (except motorcycles!) If you ordered larger items, such as arbor arrangements or statement arrangements, you may need a larger vehicle such as a van or SUV. Please note that uncovered pickup truck beds are not a great option for transportation, as those delicate flowers can be damaged by wind or other elements while driving. If you’re unsure, please reach out to us.

All of our wedding flower products, with the exception of arbor arrangements and statement arrangements, will come packaged for easy transportation. Arbor arrangements and statement arrangements will come unpackaged and can be laid on a backseat or trunk. 

We always recommend bringing a tarp, towels, or some other barrier to protect your vehicle interior from water or plant material.

Can you work with my preferred color palette?

While we can't ever guarantee specific colors or varieties, we can accommodate most color palettes throughout the season. We will get as close as possible to your preferred color palette, and we can guarantee one thing - you'll have beautiful, seasonal flowers for your wedding day!

How far in advance do I need to order my flowers?

Wedding orders must be placed and paid for at least 30 days before your wedding date. However, we do operate on a first come, first serve basis, so we recommend placing your order as far in advance as you are able.

I saw this cool picture on Pinterest! Can you do this for me?

We are not currently offering custom arrangements beyond what we have listed here on our website. If you’d like to create it yourself, we offer bulk flowers and greenery to help you do that! If DIY isn’t your thing, we can recommend some of our local florist friends who may be able to achieve your floral vision.

How much bulk flowers or greenery should I order?

While we are happy to give the best advice we can for ordering quantity, we strongly recommend you do your own research on how many flowers or how much greenery you’ll need to create your floral designs. The amount of stems needed to create an arrangement varies depending on the size of your vase, the types of flowers, and how full you want the arrangement to be. We also recommend ordering a bit more than you think you need - you can alway find somewhere to put those extra flowers!

How do I install your arbor arrangements?

Our arbors are easy to install and come with zip ties that make putting them up a breeze! We include instructions on how to install your arbor arrangement as well as extra zip ties. You’ll need at least 2 people to install, scissors, and a stepstool (depending on the height of your arbor and the height of your people).

Do I need to include anything in my order notes?

If you have any special requests for your wedding flowers, please first reach out to us at weddings@hhfshop.com to make sure we can accommodate your request. Then, include your request in your order notes. We also ask that you include the name and phone number of the person who will be picking up your flowers as well as the time they will be arriving to pick up your flowers.
