Temps are warming, birds are chirping, flowers are growing, and I am as happy as a kid at Christmas. Our wedding business has been keeping us busy during the winter months. We’ve been working with each bride to create unique and personalized flower collections that represent all the things near and dear to them on such a special, memorable day.
I am thrilled that my mother, Chris Auville, has taken over most of the leg work with the brides, leaving me to tend to the flowers and do what I do best, which is to create beautiful floral designs. My mom has elevated Harmony Harvest’s services to be prompt in responses, detailed in package quotes, and all around great in establishing a personal rapport with each of our clients. While we are still fine-tuning our process, we have come so very far from where we were just last year. Our 2015 calendar has few openings left, and we are aggressively booking 2016 and beyond!
I am especially proud of my design eye because one of our favorite stylized wedding shoots features our floral designs, which will be in print this summer. I am also working behind the scenes to refine my craft and learn from some of the worlds leading floral designers. I spend many late nights reviewing other floral artists’ work, watching trends and new techniques, so that I can weave these concepts into my skill set. It’s so important to me to always challenge myself, humble myself, and learn from EVERYONE. My abilities will always grow, evolve, and transition, but that’s part of the art in this profession.
I am so excited to see each of these weddings, which we have spent countless hours creating specific visions for, to unfold. And I absolutely can’t wait to share them with you once they do! So, is there a designer or a wedding that you’re crazy about? Share in the comments. We would ALL love to see links to other soulful inspiration!
