I don’t know about you, but I am tired. Exhausted really. The last push of the season to cram flowers in fields, greenhouses, harvest flowers, and round out our bridal season is taking its toll. My body shape has changed enough to make most tasks miserable and my drive is waning. This is the point when I have to rediscover my passion for this life, refocus my attention, channel all necessary vibes and simply push through. August arrived in a steam of sweltering days with jam-packed schedules. The luxury of sneaking in a quick nap feels like wishful thinking.
So this is where I stop whining and start motivating. Here are some of the top things I have been saying over and over again to myself. The list goes something like this:
If it were easy, then everyone would be doing it. Suck it up buttercup.
You are beyond blessed to live this life even on the hardest days.
Stop, breathe, appreciate.
Enjoy these hard moments- they will pass and you will be better off for it.
YOU are setting an example, blazing a path, and being a leader.
No one ever got rich working towards someone else’s dreams.
Just think of how quickly five years can pass and where you will be, so live every moment.
You are learning SO many ways to not do things- learn from these discoveries.
Success comes from failure.
Of course there are more, but these have been playing on loop lately in my mind. What about you? We all face challenging times and hard struggles getting to where we WANT to be, so what do you tell yourself? Maybe we can all find some new lines to add to our mantra to make those challenging moments a little less intense and bit quicker to get past.
